There are important things in the Christian church which we want to affirm.

The primary symbol or sacrament indicating a commitment to follow Jesus and accept God’s love and enter into the life of the Christian community is through the act of Baptism.

When we Baptise infants and children we are affirming God’s love for them even before they can begin understanding what that might mean. We are also saying that the child’s family and community play a central role in nurturing that child and teaching him or her all about Jesus, and God’s love,

When we baptise adults we are affirming their commitment and decision to follow Jesus.

For those who have been baptised as children or adults but want to confirm or reaffirm their commitment to Christ or the commitment made on their behalf by their parents, we encourage them to publicly declare their faith and provide prayers for them at this time.
